Aloha!
Early Registration is now open for the Oaxaca Immersion, April 26–May 4, 2026, led by Juíl Lee and Colee Garr. We wanted you to be among the first to know as our plans have finalized and to give you priority to reserve your spot. Here’s a quick glance at our offering.
Oaxaca — a state in southern Mexico known for its rich indigenous cultures, diverse landscapes, vibrant markets, and deep artistic and culinary traditions — will hold us for this cultural and wellness retreat. This experience is intentionally intimate: a journey into art, movement, culture, artisanal food, and mezcal, and traditional healing practices.
What to Expect
Seven full days inside Oaxaca’s center of culture, craft, indigenous and folk art, food, and mezcal. We’ll stay in Estancia La Merced, a beautiful and spacious traditional casienda in Oaxaca Centro — offering private rooms with full bathrooms and one shared-room option. Two meals a day are included. This curated experience allows for time to explore, wander, rest, and savor Oaxaca’s flavors, colors, and rhythms. Plan on walking every day through the city and villages as part of our immersion.
Mornings begin with Yoga, Movement, & Breathwork sessions — grounding practices focused on tending to the body and mind, and preparing for the day— followed by breakfast and hands-on artisanal experiences and excursions including:
TraditionalOaxacan Cooking Class & Market Tour
Teotitlán del Valle – Zapotec weaving + natural dyeing
Workshops: Woodblock Printing (Xilografía), Pottery, Natural Dyes, or Silkscreen
Matatlán – mezcal tasting & palenque tour
Monte Albán – ancient Zapotec city, pyramids, plazas
San Martín Tilcahete – Zapotec village known for its vibrant alebrijes (spirit animals)
Temezcal Ritual – traditional Mesoamerican steam bath and massage
Tlacolula - most iconic, oldest, and vibrant market in all of Oaxaca
Service Project:
Our small service project, carried out with dear friends of Juíl’s in the Indigenous Zapotec village of Teotitlán del Valle, offers a gesture of gratitude to the land and the communities welcoming us. Juil’s connection and knowledge of Oaxacan culture are the heartbeat of this retreat. Through her long standing relationships with artisans and local families, we go to the heart of Oaxaca’s— culture, food, craft, wellness, and connection.
